The Bridge is affiliated with First UMC of Fort Smith as its founding and supporting church. First UMC is responsible for funding The Bridge at UA Fort Smith through a line item in the church's annual budget. University of Arkansas - Fort Smith
The Bridge is affiliated with UA Fort Smith as a Recognized Affiliated Student Organization. This means that we are an official student organization just like any other campus organization (i.e. Baptist Collegiate Ministry, College Republicans or Democrats, etc.) While we do not receive funding from the university we are supported by the university through the use of its facilities for meetings, programs and ministries, as well as through communication support on campus and guidance from the faculty and administration.
